The Balneo-Climate potential and tharapeutic highlighting of Bihor county, Romania

The objectives of this thesis are: outlining the spa and bioclimatic potential of Bihor county by identifying and inventorying all localities with spa and climatic therapeutic factors; computation of bioclimatic indices, realizing a physic-chemical profile of the thermal and mineral waters from this area; creating a database regarding the infrastructure of the resorts and to the localities with spa-climate factors that can be updated permanently; carrying out case studies in the Sarcău and Băile 1Mai spa resorts, by highlighting the hydro-climatic particularities of the two spa locations, the pathologies treated in the Sarcău complex and in the Băile Felix Recovery Clinical Hospital – the children section from the station Băile 1Mai. It is also aimed at evaluating how this potential is effective in various therapies. Greater attention will be paid to the method of Besancenot-Mounier-Lavenne. Some novelty in geographical research will be given by my contribution regarding the evaluation of the spa potential in Bihor County, and to what extent this potential is dependent on geographical factors with spatial and temporal variability. The results of the study will have to show to what extent the climatic potential and the spa potential of Bihor county are favourable for the application of balneo-hydro-climatic therapies: Crenotherapy, Climatotherapy, Thalassotherapy, Heliotherapy, Peloid Therapy, Clay Therapy, Phototherapy, Aerosol Therapy, Aeroion Therapy, Speleotherapy, Hydrotherapy.
